該方法包括使用等位基因特異性熒光團標記的探針擴增和檢測靶序列。靶序列是位點20210（G20210A）中的單核苷酸鳥嘌呤/腺嘌呤多態性。在HEX熒光通道中的FAM熒光通道和突變等位基因（A20210A）中檢測到野生型等位基因（G20210G）的存在。在雜合基因型（G20210A）的情況下，在兩個通道中檢測到信號。檢測套件包含準備使用MasterMix并利用“熱啟動”技術，大限度地減少非特異性反應并確保大靈敏度。Kit是專為體外診斷而設計的。
